Timorous Beast has returned from the UK bearing giant boxes of shredded wheat, Thornton's truffles and an Easter egg bearing a funny message in icing. I'm very happy to have his big warm shape back snuffling around the flat again. He's at work now, but the smell of him lingers still.

I only recently saw a picture of Beast. Before that, I always tended to imagine him akin to a large canine. A St. Bernard or a huskie perhaps?
Probably because you use terms like "snuffling around" to describe him!
I think there's quite a lot of St Bernard about Beast
He really does snuffle. I think of him more as a bear than a dog, but if he were a dog, he'd probably be something like a St. Bernard.
